Introduction to our Corporate Social Responsibility

EKF Electronic sets great importance on compliance with legal regulations as well as on further self-defined guidelines. You can download our principles in our Code of Conduct.
The key pillars of the code are respect for one another and open communication. In addition, sustainability with regard to the environment, the economy and employees is particularly important. As a company, we hold a clear responsibility towards the environment. We actively engage in conserving natural resources and minimizing environmental impact. Our continuous improvement processes aim to develop sustainable products and establish eco-friendly manufacturing procedures.

Our dedication extends beyond adhering to laws and regulations. We share the vision of reducing energy consumption throughout the lifecycle of our products and replacing hazardous chemicals. By further developing our technologies and our innovative products, we continuously minimize our environmental footprint. We are committed to ongoing improvement and transparency of our environmental impact to not only meet but exceed industry standards. Together with our partners, we work on sustainable practices along the entire supply chain to respect and protect the environment.

RoHS Compliance

Our products adhere to the EU directives 2011/65/EU (RoHS II) and 2015/863/EU (RoHS III). We actively strive to reduce substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers, di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate, butylbenzyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, and diisobutyl phthalate.

Renewable Energy

Since the installation of our 440 m² photovoltaic system, we have been using every square meter to produce solar energy. This allows us to entirely cover our own energy requirements and reduce our ecological footprint. The current daily values can be viewed at any time in our foyer.

Emission Reduction

We are actively working to minimize air, water, soil and noise pollution. This includes the use of recycled materials in our packaging. The majority of our employees travel to the office by train or bicycle and have the option of teleworking.

Energy Efficiency

Mindful energy usage holds paramount importance for us. In 2023, we equipped our corporate buildings with modern heating systems and enhanced insulation. Simultaneously, we introduced a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient SMT manufacturing facility by Essemtec.

We promote environmental awareness among our employees. The aim is for our employees to act in an environmentally conscious manner not only at work, but also in their daily lives.
