CCU – Chassis Comfort Unit
Microcontroller Module for System Health Capture
The CCU is a small PCB equipped with an ESP32 series microcontroller for mounting e.g. on the backside of a suitable CompactPCI® backplane. Connected to the system via I2C, the CCU provides sensors for temperature, humidity, motion and acceleration (Gyro). Dependent on the chassis environment conditions the ESP32 microcontroller can activate individually up to three fans. System voltages are monitored by a precision ADC. As
an option, the CCU can capture an external high voltage up to 110VDC across a reinforced isolated ADC (railway application).
