When purchasing software the customer acquires a simple right of use; a copy may be created solely for archival purposes under the conditions set by the manufacturer. The client shall be liable for damages arising from any breach of its duty of care, e.g. for unauthorised copying, unauthorised sharing of software, etc. By purchasing the software the customer gives his consent to the conditions mentioned. Unlicensed copying shall, subject to final legal clarification, be assumed to constitute theft, and the customer shall be liable for all damages incurred. This also applies to documentation and software that result from modifications of documents and programmes of EKF, no matter whether the changes are regarded as slight or significant. The following terms, as specified or in a similar spelling, are protected designations. Furthermore, the indisputable copyright of each brand, even without explicit reference to copyright, is deemed acknowledged, e.g.: EKF, EKF-SYSTEM, CoolConduct, Embedded Blue, iAFIS (® EKF), CompactPCI, CompactPCI PlusIO, CompactPCI Serial, CompactPCI Express, ModBlox7 (® PICMG).
